the 100 most memorable moments in soap history
In 2006, soaphunks.net took on the lugubrious but stimulating task of compiling a list of The 100 Sexiest Soap Hunks of All Time. How'd we handle such a job? Well, here's how...
We started with an exhaustive list of 360 qualifiers for the ultimate list. We then canvassed a diverse group of site visitors who were familiar with all these men and their, um, qualifications. The 13 judges (male & female, gay & straight, seasoned & young, white & black, domestic & foreign) scored all 360 guys on a scale from 1 to 10 in three areas: face, body, and overall sex appeal.
The judges' scores were combined, sorted, and ranked with the following formula:
- Face score = 10%
- Body score = 15%
- Sex appeal score = 55%
- Years in Daytime (from IMDB.com) = 20%
Remember that this is an all-time list as of 2006, so there were going to be people on it that might not be that popular or hunky TODAY. The judges were asked to rank each guy based on his "sex appeal peak" during his daytime stint, not anything that came before, not anything that came after.
With a few exceptions, I think they did pretty good with this. Also remember that this is not necessarily a "hunky" list. While the body counted 15%, there will be guys on the list who do not have six-packs and who are older than 22.
