'Guiding Light' cancelled
It's official. CBS has cancelled the longest-running program in broadcast history, as "Guiding Light" will leave the airwaves in September 2009.

The "new" format left much to be desired. I don't know how many people I've talked to who said, "What were they thinking?" ...in reference to the "home video style" format. It's horrible! They "jumped the shark" when they changed to that format.....the show was doomed!
