Heather Grant (
Robin Mattson) came to Port Charles in 1976, and got a job as a nanny for the Taylors. Heather became interested in Jeff Webber (
Richard Dean Anderson), but he was married to Monica Quartermaine. One night after a fight with Monica, Jeff and Heather had a night of passion, and she became pregnant. Since Jeff was not willing to leave Monica at the time, Heather gave birth to a baby boy and sold it on the black market. The Taylors adopted the baby, not knowing that Heather was the biological mother of the child. Heather told Jeff that the baby had died. Jeff and Heather eventually got married, and Heather became pregnant again. Heather miscarried the baby and tried to get her other baby back from the Taylors. Heather laced Diana Taylor's (
Brooke Bundy) drink with LSD to make her go insane. Instead, Heather accidentally drank the drink herself, and Jeff had her institutionalized. Jeff later fell in love with Anne Logan (
Susan Pratt) and wanted to marry her, but he was still married to Heather. The deranged Heather escaped the institution and went to Diana's apartment to kill her, but instead Heather's mother ended up shooting Diana to stop Diana from killing her daughter. In a chilling move, Heather decided to frame Anne for the murder, thinking that if she couldn't have a happy family with Jeff, no one could. She unforgettably spelled out the letters "ANNE" next to the corpse, using Diana's blood. Truly one of the most blood-curdling moments in GH's history.
