By 1984, bad boy Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and rich girl Hope Williams (Kristian Alfonso) had broken up because Hope wanted to respect her father's wishes. That meant Hope was free for Larry Welch (Andrew Masset), a crooked district attorney who had his sights set on her. The two eventually got engaged and were set to get married. However, Bo had other plans. As Bonnie Tyler's "Holding Out for a Hero" played, thrilled Bo and Hope fans saw Bo ride a motorcycle up to the church where Hope and Larry were to be married (the same church featured earlier in the list when Jack kidnapped Jennifer on DAYS). With a little assist from Alice Horton (Frances Reid), Bo forcibly took the bride-to-be and replaced her with a most unlikely and comical substitute. Bo & Hope are one of soap's most popular and enduring supercouples, and this is easily their most iconic moment.
