In 1991, dastardly David Kimble (Michael Corbett) went to a plastic surgeon, eager to alter his appearance after his various criminal misdeeds against Nina (Tricia Cast) and Diane (Devon Pierce). In an in-joke, he even told the surgeon that he wanted to be made to look like David Hasselhoff (himself a Y&R star in the 1970s). But when the bandages came off, the plastic surgeon had gone with his own interpretation, actually carving the word "KILLER" in all capitals on David's forehead. David would eventually meet his maker quite brutally when he fell into an industrial trash compactor and was crushed, but until he did, he had a face only a mother could love.
