the 100 most memorable moments in soap history

"No. No. No. No!"

That's the line I'll always remember from this master class of soap acting. AMC's Julia Barr (Brooke English) hit an absolute home run in this 1988 scene in which she learns from Tom Cudahy (Richard Shoberg) that their beloved daughter, Laura, had been killed in a car accident. In a storyline that actually pre-dates the classic BJ's Death storyline on GH, AMC also found a wealth of material for its actors by killing off a child character. And today, when you think about how shoddily Barr has been treated by her show, you want to re-watch this moment, think about her being let go, and just say "No. No. No. No!"
