the 100 most memorable moments in soap history
Ever get stuck trying to remember your password? Multiply that feeling by a million, and that's the kind of day Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) was having in 1981. Mikkos Cassadine unleashed his ultimate plan to hold the world ransom. If world leaders did not accept his demands for total world domination, he would use the carbonic snow in his weather machine to send the Earth into a new ice age. (Uh-huh.) In order to show that he was capable of doing this, he selected Port Charles as a test subject and soon the city was plunged into a blizzard in the middle of summer. As temperatures in Port Charles continued to plummet, Mikkos managed to capture Luke, Laura (Genie Francis), and Robert (Tristan Rogers). It didn't take long for our heroic trio to overtake the dastardly Cassadines, but time was running out to turn off the weather machine. Luke struggled to figure out the password: Snow? Ice cream? Eventually, it came to him. Luke slowly entered the final letters "e-s-s" into the computer, and the code, Ice Princess, was successful. Luke Spencer had saved the day, in a dramatic end to an eye-roll of a storyline.
